A major police operation is underway after Schoten were fired at a group of men in the south of Sydney.
The police were called to the Boulevarde in Brighton Le Sands on Tuesday at about 3:15 pm, after reports of a shooting.
Officers were told that an Audi SUV changed into the boulevarde, from the Grand Parade, when an unknown resident of the car dismissed a firearm in the direction of three men close to a parked vehicle.
The three men and the Audi left the stage. There have been no reports of injuries.
The police found three cars near bullet holes, including one that had gone through a windshield, near a building that was also damaged.
A car that matches the description of the Audi SUV was also found 11 km away in Windarra Street, Narwee shortly later.
Two crimes have been established in the areas and an investigation has been started.
Dozens of police remain in both scenes.
A woman told RadioStation 2 GB that her husband was stuck in traffic on Grand Parade when he saw that bullets were shot outside his car.
Anyone with information about the incident, dashcam or CCTV is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at 1800 333,000.
