'BJP se satoge toh katoge': Poster outside RJD office in Patna counters Yogi Adityanath's 'batenge' rhetoric
NEW DELHI: Posters outside the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) party office in Patna criticized CM Yogi Adityanath’s ‘batenge toh katenge’ rhetoric, listing shortcomings of the BJP government including inflation, unemployment and crony capitalism. The poster read: “BJP se satoge toh katoge (If you join BJP, you will be cheated).”
It accused the saffron party of ‘breaking’ the parties it has an alliance with in Bihar – JDU and LJP. It criticized the party for wanting to push inflation to levels that made even “gas stoves” inaccessible to households.

Yogi Adityanath’s ‘batenge toh katenge’, uttered in the context of alleged persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh, has drawn criticism not only from opposition parties but also from his own MVA allies like Ajit Pawar.
“Nothing can be above the nation. And the nation will become stronger only when we are united,” Adityanath had said, adding, “Aap dekh rahe hain Bangladesh mein kya ho raha hai? Wo galatiyan yahan nahi honi chahiye. Batenge toh katenge! Ek rahenge to nek rahenge, surakshit rahenge aur samriddhi ki parakashtha ko pahuchenge (You see what is happening in Bangladesh. These mistakes should not be repeated here. If we are divided, we will be destroyed. If we are united, we will be safe and we will prosper).
