After Hemant Soren, Rahul’s helicopter stopped briefly in Jharkhand after not getting permission from ATC | India News – Times of India
The Congress has alleged that this was a deliberate attempt to throw Rahul’s election campaign in the state off course before the final phase of the Assembly elections.
“Just because the Prime Minister is in Deogarh, Rahul Gandhi was not allowed to cross that area. There is a protocol which we understand, but Congress has ruled the country for 70 years and such an incident has not happened to any opposition leader. not acceptable,” said Deepika Pandey Singh, MLA and Congress candidate from Mahagama constituency.
The Congress alleged that this was a deliberate move by the ATC as Prime Minister Narendra Modi was addressing a rally in Chakai, about 150 km away from Godda.
This comes days after Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren sought the President’s intervention over the delay in the take-off of his helicopter due to security concerns of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Kalpana Soren had also alleged that she was prevented from campaigning for Latehar and accused the BJP and opposition parties of hampering her party’s efforts to reach out to the people.
