Watch: A fraudster pretending to be a Mumbai police officer calls a real police officer
NEW DELHI: In a surprising turn of events, a cybercriminal posing as a Mumbai police officer accidentally video-called the Thrissur police cyber cell officer in an attempt to make him his next target.
In a video posted by Thrissur police, the fraudster appeared in police uniform and claimed to be from Mumbai Police. Initially, the officer kept his camera off and responded to the question “Where are you?” by replying, “My camera isn’t working properly, sir.” However, the fraudster realized his mistake when the officer turned on his camera.

The officer then firmly told the fraudster: ‘Stop this work. I have your address, your location and everything. This is a cyber cell. It’s best if you quit this job.’
The video went viral on social media platforms within hours and received over two lakh views.
