A racist who declined mean and offensive e -mails to protect minister Jess Phillips and Sir Sadiq Khan, the mayor of London, was imprisoned for 28 weeks today.
District judge Stuart Smith said that Jack Bennett showed 'deep-rooted racism' during a period of almost 12 months in which he focused on the couple and a third 'prominent public figure', Matt Twist, assistant commissioner of the metropolitan police.
A court heard Bennett, 39, sent Miss Philips an e -mail and accused her of not holding on to an investigation into 'Pakistani men raping white English girls and burned her a shame.
He was charged after sending the E -mail last month -in the aftermath of Elon Musk's criticism on the Labor Member of Parliament about her response to the care gang -scandal -and this morning he was guilty of what Bennett's first court case was.
Public Prosecutor Hannah Cotton said that, unlike the other two victims, Sir Sadiq did not personally receive what the judge described as Bennett's 'toxic rhetoric' because his messages were filtered.
She said that Bennett sent 'very offensive and disgusting anti-Semitic' e-mails and Mr Twist called a 'piece of sh*t' and accused him of participating in 'victim the fault' and 'storm-armed tactics against white British pacifists' .
DJ Smith was held on Bennett to the Exeter court and said that the suspect – dressed in a suit with briefly cracked her and tattoo in his neck – had demonstrated racial hostility against Sadiq Khan, and added that his comments' saturated in hatred '.
He made Bennett, who belonged the court at home with his mother, subjected to an order of five years about the 'vulgar racist abuse'. The order forbids the suspect to contact the victims.

Defense lawyer Caroline Salvatore said that Bennett has no earlier convictions and neuro varies and was socially isolated.
She said that during the Bennett Pandemie it was 'exposed to right -wing propaganda' and such views participated in his vocabulary, but he only acted in 2023 when his father died.
Bennett said, “He went off the rails,” and became addicted to online websites and made stubborn use of unpleasant language that he now recognized.
Miss Salvatore said: 'He tried to be offensive to shock them out of their complacency. He has learned his lesson and has not done it since then and will not do it in the future. '
She added: “He sent them out of frustration and to hurt their feelings.”
Bennett admitted to the police that his language was 'offensive and inappropriate' and was repentant.
Bennett, Van Seaton, Devon, admitted four charges of sending E emails to Miss Phillips, Sir Sadiq and MR Twist who were 'indecent or coarse offensive with the aim of causing the recipient'. The charges were under the Malicious Communications Act.
A similar indictment of Clive Lewis, the Labor MP for Norwich South, was withdrawn.

Bennett admitted a fifth similar indictment under the Communication Act, but there was no separate fine for that.
The charges include from February 2024 to January 2025.
Bennett's mother cried in the public gallery when he was led to the cells.
Mr. Musk, the owner of the social media platform X, had claimed that Mrs. Phillips had to be imprisoned and called her a 'rape genocide apologist'. He made the comments after she had rejected a request to the government to lead a public investigation into sexual exploitation of children in Oldham.
Instead, last October, she dedicated Oldham Council to start his own local research into historical sexual abuse of children in the city.
Mr. Musk claimed that she 'deserves to be in prison' for her response.
That brought Sir Keir Starmer to suggest that Mr. Musk was “desperately looking for attention.” The prime minister warned that “those who spread lies and wrong information as far and as broadly as possible, they are not interested in victims, they are interested in themselves.”
Health secretary Wes Streeting had previously called Mr. Musk's comments' badly elderly 'and said that Mrs Phillips, MP for Birmingham Yardley, had done more than most people ever do' to fight sexual abuse.
Last week, councilors in Oldham voted unanimously to demand a legal public investigation into sexual exploitation of children in the city.
