Choosing the Right Instant Pot Size
When it comes to choosing the right size, Instant Pot recommends a 3-quart model for one or two people. Families of six or less will likely be happy with the 6-quart multi-cooker. If you have a large household or often receive large groups, consider choosing an 8 liter model.
Price and value
You can find multicookers and Instant Pots for hundreds of dollars, but even the budget-friendly models do most of what you ask of an Instant Pot and do it well. The more expensive models may have more cooking programs, easier-to-use release valves or a sleeker look, but how well they pressure cook, slow cook or steam cook won’t change much, even if you go up in price.
