- ArcaneThe series’ showrunners have not ruled out physical appearances from the Black Rose members in season 2

- Even if that’s not the case, the creators of the Netflix series were excited to introduce them to a wider audience
Full spoilers ahead ahead Arcane seasons 1 and 2.
There are only three episodes left Arcane‘s second and final season and as the clock ticks down to the finale, fans are still waiting for an answer to an absolutely big question.
No, not the “What’s wrong with Jayce?” one, which I have already explored in this article about Jayce going down a very dark path Arcane the later entries of season 2. I’m talking about the main villain of the hit Netflix show, which has yet to be revealed Arcane is approaching its endgame.
There are plenty of candidates for the series’ antagonist-in-chief. Silco filled that role last season, but after his death in the season 1 finale, we’re none the wiser about who will succeed him as Arcane‘s Big Bad. Is it Ambessa, who has become an increasingly hostile figure since her Season 1 Episode 7 debut? What about Jayce following his unexpected heel in? Arcane season 2, act 2? What if it turns out to be Jinx?
In the minds of many viewers, including mine, it won’t be any of them. Fans have indeed had a magical theory about it Arcane‘s main villain for a long time, with some proposing that the Black Rose, a secret and dark magic-wielding organization, will be the show’s real villains. It is a hypothesis that is older Arcane The official season 2 trailer will also be released in mid-September, with that two-minute teaser hinting at the introduction of the Black Rose.
Well, as I do in my Arcane season 2 act 1 ending explained piece, the Black Rose is officially part of the proceedings. What’s still unclear after the arrival of Season 2 episodes 4 through 6, however, is whether the Noxus-based cult is one of the main villains of the best Netflix shows. Or rather: bad girls, because three of their four most famous members are women. That includes their infamous leader LeBlanc, the millennia-old sorceress who is essentially the shadow ruler of Noxus and pulls the strings of whoever sits on the physical throne of the expansionist empire.
Where the Black Rose plays an increasingly important role Arcane As the season 2 story continues, will we see LeBlanc and/or other Black Rose members appear sooner? Arcane‘s final credits? I had the opportunity to speak with the animated one League of Legends (Lol) show creators Christian Linke and Alex Yee ahead of its initial debut on November 9, so I felt compelled to ask the pair if this would be the case. Interestingly enough, they didn’t deny it.
“Hmm… you really want to know, don’t you?” Linke responded with a wry smile and a not-so-coy laugh. Before I had a chance to respond, Yee interjected and cleverly added, “Are you asking ‘will they be there’ or ‘will you see them?'”
You’ve played this game before, haven’t you, gentlemen? Considering the fact that the pair didn’t outright deny that LeBlanc and/or her fellow ancient magic wielders would appear, I’m led to believe that at least one of them will. I also have the evidence to support that. The cast list from the opening credits of Season 2, Episode 5 mentions a character called “Illusionary Sorceress,” who is not only the person who speaks to Mel in this chapter, but is also voiced by Minnie Driver. Don’t be shocked if Driver is the voice Arcane‘s animated take on LeBlanc, and if I’m right, if Driver and LeBlanc are then added to my Arcane season 2 cast and character guide.
But I digress. Even if I’m completely wrong in my assumptions about members of the Black Rose showing up before Season 2 ends, it doesn’t sound like this is the last we’ll see of them. With much more Lol With film and TV adaptations in development, Linke suggested they could pop up, or at least be mentioned, in future projects.
“If we’ve talked about it internally, the coolest version of the Black Rose is when they’re invisible,” Linke said. “But what’s also really cool is that they’re one of the first glimpses of this bigger world, and the characters have an association with the mysterious and the magic that comes from another realm. It’s good that fans have an opinion about what’s happening with Hextech, magic and all these things, and we’re very excited about those things as well. But you know, the Black Rose is an integral part of Season 2, and that’s all you get for now.
