'Show the truth': After PM Modi, Amit Shah backs 'Sabarmati report'
NEW DELHI: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday praised the newly released film Sabarmati Reportsaying that the film “defies the ecosystem with unparalleled courage and exposes the truth behind the fateful episode in broad daylight.”
The film tells the story of the aftermath of the train fire incident in Gujarat’s Godhra in 2002.
“No matter how hard a powerful ecosystem tries, it cannot keep the truth hidden in darkness forever. The film Sabarmati Report defies the ecosystem with unparalleled courage and exposes the truth behind the fateful episode in broad daylight,” Amit Shah wrote on X.

Shah’s praise for the film comes a day after Prime Minister Modi hailed the film and stated that “fake narratives can only continue for a limited period of time”.
Replying to a tweet about Vikrant Massey’s starrer film, Prime Minister Modi said on X: ‘Well said. It’s good that this truth is coming out, and also in a way that ordinary people can see. For a limited period of time, the facts will always come to light!”

Directed by Dheeraj Sarna, the film delves into the Godhra train fire incident, which led to widespread unrest in Gujarat.
The Sabarmati report, to be released on Friday, is inspired by true events and aims to shed light on the situation controversial episode. The film stars alongside Massey Raashii Khanna and Ridhi Dogra in pivotal roles.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi is on a three-country tour starting with Nigeria, the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister in 17 years. He then travels to Brazil and ends in Guyana from November 19 to 21.
