A British tourist is supposed to have died after he had fallen off a cliff while walking in India.
The tourist walked with a friend in the Dhauladhar Mountains in Himachal Pradesh, near the Himalayas, when he fell, according to local reports.
In the winter season they would not have been aware of a local ban on trekking at a great height, the police said.
The tourist is supposed to have slipped during their descent of Triund, a small city that seriously injured himself.
His friend withdrew to seek help from the police and locals. A team of rescuers was immediately sent, local media reports.
Tragically enough, the tourist succumbed to his injuries on Monday after he had brought down the hill for medical treatment.
