How Ruth Langsford will get her skin ‘clear and radiant’ for I’m a Celeb spin-off
She will make a much-anticipated appearance on I’m A Celebrity spin-off show Unpacked.
And Ruth Langsford is undoubtedly pulling out all the stops to ensure she looks her best when she appears on the ITV2 accompaniment to the much-loved reality show.
But luckily for fans, Ruth, 64, doesn’t believe in spending hundreds on expensive skincare.
Instead, she prefers to buy “something that works,” like the $6 moisturizer she’s been using for years.
“When it comes to nourishing the skin, I like to keep it simple with classic ingredients that have stood the test of time,” Ruth shared. My weekly magazine.
“Because I have very dry skin, I rely on Astral Face & Body Moisturizer to protect my skin from loss of hydration.
“It locks in moisture and deeply nourishes at the same time.
“I use it day and night on my face, hands, elbows and feet.”
Ruth previously added to Hello! magazine: “I always moisturize my elbows and hands every night before I go to bed.
‘It’s something my mother always did.
“I always remember her putting her hand cream on her elbows!”
She even keeps a travel size container of the cream in her purse so she can “reapply it whenever my skin starts to feel tight and dry.”
She not only uses the cream as a daily moisturizer, but also applies it thickly as a facial mask.
“I really notice that my skin looks brighter and more radiant when I give it a weekly facial scrub and apply a moisturizing mask,” she told My Weekly.
“The Astral moisturizer is great for this – I apply a thick layer and let it sink in.”
Ruth also takes the opportunity to leave her face makeup free whenever she can.
“Giving my skin makeup-free this time makes a big difference because my skin can breathe and my moisturizer has more time to absorb and rehydrate,” she said.
Ruth – who has been showing off her new blonde hair extensions in recent days – is flying to Australia later this month to support her Loose Women co-star Jane Moore, who appears as a contestant in the jungle.
