Tattoo fan leaves people in hysterics with ‘dad’ ink
A TATTOO fan has left people in hysterics after showing off his new ink.
The man had chosen to engrave a sweet tribute to his son on the top of his shoulder blades.
However, instead of the ‘h’ in the word, he had it replaced with an image of a man holding his son’s hand.
A video showing the etching was shared on the website TikTok page of the Jamaican tattoo artist Wizink.
And people were quick to comment that the chosen tattoo — which the man clearly chose as an adorable memento of parenthood — actually looked like it said “Fatter.”
The comments came in so quickly that the tattoo pro had to disable them on the main video.
But they all admitted they were giggling about how the tattoo ended up.
However, others were more complimentary about the design.
“Wwwwwhhyyyyyy did you turn off the comments on the VADER tattoo?” wrote one.
“I love it, it’s so different and unique!!”
“I’m sorry you turned off your comments about the dad tattoo,” another raged.
“That s*** was DOPE AF!”
Tattoos on the shoulder blade are widely considered to be among the most painful – rating 9 out of 10 on the ink pain scale.
One person took to Reddit to ask for advice before getting a shoulder blade tattoo, wondering if it’s one of the most painful places.
“Everyone is different,” someone replied.
“I had my shoulder blade done and it was a 3-3.5 hour tattoo and I don’t find any of my tattoos painful when I get them but this one for me was the most painful and the worst healing.
“I also had my forearms and inner/outer calves done and those areas didn’t hurt me, but I did find the inner calves a bit tough lol.
Which tattoos hurt the most?
Depending on which part of your body you choose to ink, tattoos can vary significantly in terms of pain levels.
Some of the most painful areas are where the skin tends to be thinner or closer to the bone.
Each area has specific factors that contribute to the level of pain.
Ribcage: Thin skin, few muscles and many nerve endings.
Feet and ankles: Many bones, tendons and nerve endings are close to the surface.
Hands and fingers: Lots of bones, tendons and nerve endings, resulting in more pain during tattooing. Knuckles in particular can be painful.
Backbone: Its proximity to the spinal cord and nerve endings makes it sensitive. Tattooing on the vertebrae can be especially painful.
Knees and elbows: Thin skin and little padding between the skin and the underlying bones.
Armpits and groin: High concentration of nerve endings and lymph nodes.
Neck and throat: Thin and sensitive skin, with many nerve endings and blood vessels close to the surface.

“Get the tattoo where you want it,” another advised.
“The pain isn’t that bad and the tattoo is permanent, so if it’s not where you want it, you’ll just regret it!”
“I don’t know, I did my whole back and it hurt a lot!” a third admitted.
As someone else wrote, “I’m a baby when it comes to tattoos and I got my shoulder done.
“You should be fine!!! It feels weird (like you can finally feel where your bone is because it’s shaking), but nothing terrible.
“Manageable!”
