Miranda Kerr remembers how her first boyfriend died in a sudden accident and how she lost a baby boy to a miscarriage
Miranda Kerr has opened up about losing her first boyfriend in a car crash when she was a teenager.
The Australian model, 41, unveiled at the Not just podcast she was left shocked and heartbroken when her boyfriend Christopher Middlebrook died suddenly.
Miranda, who has four sons and shares three with husband Evan Spiegel, admitted her life could have turned out very differently if the tragic accident had not occurred.
‘My boyfriend died when I was a teenager. “If that hadn’t happened, I would have been happily married and as much of a country bumpkin as I am,” she said.
“The fact that he died so suddenly was such a shock to my system because he died in a car accident. It was a lesson not to take anything in my life for granted.”
Miranda also revealed that she suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage after welcoming her first son Flynn, 13, with her ex-husband Orlando Bloom, whom she dated from 2010 to 2013.
“I actually had a miscarriage – and it was a boy too,” she revealed.
Miranda said she was “naive” during her first pregnancy and became much “wiser” with each subsequent birth.

“So with each pregnancy I became more knowledgeable and a little more concerned about what could go wrong,” she added.
Miranda married Snapchat CEO Spiegel in 2017 and the couple have three sons: Hart, six, Myles, five, and newborn Pierre.
She remains closely linked to her ex Bloom and his fiancée Katy Perry, with the singer, 39, previously saying their relationship dynamic was that of a “modern family.”
Miranda previously revealed she named her eldest son Flynn after her late boyfriend, with his middle name being Christopher.
Speaking to Australia’s Daily Telegraph after his birth, she said: ‘After his death I wrote him a letter saying I hoped to name my first child after him somehow.’
“I told Orlando and he was the one who said he would be happy to do that.”

When asked what her other boys thought of the newcomer, Miranda happily said that they loved the youngest in the family.
“They love him,” she said, before adding that Pierre is the “light of our home.”
“He’s just a little ray of sunshine and his brothers love him.”
“When a new baby comes into the house, you often wonder, ‘Oh, how are the boys going to react?’ But they love him,” the former Victoria’s Secret Angel added.
