This is the incredible moment that a teenager was saved after he fell in a 50-foot Menshaft in Northern California last week.
Images that are shared by the Placer County fire brigade and the Auburn fire brigade show how selfless rescuers reached the 16-year-old boy and pulled him out of the crack after he had protected him in a harness.
The nameless teenager and his friends were reportedly entered the horizontal shaft about 180 feet in the side of a mountain to explore and with household ropes had struck about 40 to 50 ft along the shaft.
As they went up again, the boy's rope broke and crashed 30 feet to the bottom of the shaft.
He reportedly tried to climb back, but got out of strength.
First Responders ran to the rescue of the boy and set up a complex air monitoring system before they went to him.
After the teenager was brought back to safety, he was taken to a local trauma center for evaluation and treatment.
County officials said: 'This incident emphasizes the unique natural dangers that are always present in the beautiful and robust landscape of Placer County'.

Volunteers from Devon Cave Rescue Organization (DCRO) were called to the Phoenix United Mine after they received first reports that two sinks had been caught.
The friend managed to lower one of the spaa on a ledge and he was able to come alone.
But this left another person behind about 45 ft along the mine shaft – on the edge of a significant drop.
The man was exhausted and suffered from injuries as a result of the fact that the mine shaft was hung for a considerable amount of time.

Allegedly he tried to climb up again, but was out of force

A specialized paramedician of the Hazardous Area Response Team (Hart) and a DRCO employee were lowered by the shaft and gave drugs to the man – stabilized him.
The Spa was then returned to the surface on Sunday on a specialized Grotbrancard.
