I wanted to see what the Primark LBD looked like in a size 16, and if my size 38E breasts would fit

IT is the dress of the season and will certainly be seen on many dance floors at Christmas parties this year.

And after seeing her entire FYP filled with women showcasing the £20 black dress, Liz decided to head to her local Primark to try it on for herself and see how it looked on her curvier frame.

“On the hanger vs. on my size 16 body,” Liz wrote across the top of the dress TikTok video.

She then showed off that she was wearing the black dress, which has a tight top, a low back, a puffball skirt and a big bow on the back and has a very festive look.

And Liz – who shares her fashion tips for medium sizes on both TikTok and Instagram – didn’t have to worry as the show saw the LBD looking beautiful.

“The £20 party dress we all love! Run to Primark!” she captioned the video.

People quickly took to the comments section to bombard Liz with questions, with one asking: “Is it true to size?”

“I’m 16 and have a 16 – boobs are a 38E if that helps,” Liz replied.

“Do any tall ladies have this? It looks short,” asked another.

‘I! I’m 5’10,” Liz said.

“The fit of this dress is unreal, but I thought it was so short and I’m only 6ft!” a third commented.

“Maybe add some 15 denier tights?” Liz suggested.

“It’s not made for little people, the straps kept falling on me,” another sighed.

“I’m a size 14/16, I needed a 20!!! I’ve seen people say the same thing,” wrote another.

While Liz replied: “Oh no way! I guess it all depends on shape and comfort.”

“I loved it but I have to wear a bra (and strapless/backless bras never work for me) and it just didn’t work,” someone else said.

“Yet so beautiful!”

“People are trying to resell Vinted for £35,” another added.

Why is Primark the place to go for bargains?

How does Primark do it? Continue to provide trendy items at such incredible prices? According to the bosses, it is still only four points.

  • They “sell a lot of items” – Thanks to that they can save by buying in bulk for their 191 UK stores
  • They “do very little advertising”
  • Although their clothing offers the “latest trends”, they “do not use expensive hangers, tags or labels”.
  • And finally, they try “to be as efficient as possible in transporting products from factories to stores.” This includes things like asking “suppliers to pack our T-shirts so they can be placed directly on the shelves.”

“I’m nowhere near a Primark!”

And others were quick to praise Liz and insist the dress was made ‘for’ her.

“10,000% looks better on you than on the model,” one person wrote.

“It was made for you!!!!” said another.

“Looks amazing – absolutely gorgeous in your body shape,” said a third.

“You rock that dress!!!”

“I have this dress hanging in my closet, waiting for a party!” someone else admitted.
