Donald Trump promised Americans that their social security benefits would not be touched in the midst of ensuring that the agency could be the following to cut cuts after millions of cases of fraud had been discovered.
The president told Fox News -Gastheer Sean Hannity in an interview on Tuesday evening that no people who are eligible for this retirement, handicap and surviving benefits will lose their monthly payments.
But he promised to fight fraud and suggested that some of the blown -up figures at the Social Security Administration (SSA) could be illegal immigrants in the database.
Trump, in addition to the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (doge) head Elon Musk, said he would strengthen these benefits.
“Social security will not be touched, other than when there is fraud or something,” Trump was on it. “It will be strengthened.”
“Medicare, Medicaid – nothing of that stuff will be touched,” he repeated.

But he also gave a warning to those who deliberately abuse the system, and noticed in the Joint Fox interview: “Now, if there are illegal migrants in the system, we will remove them.”
During a press conference before the interview was broadcast on Tuesday, Trump read some of the figures who found his' first buddy'musk when assessing the SSA database.
SSA keeps a list of those American citizens who can be eligible for benefits. But millions of those mentioned as living American citizens in the SSA systems are more than 100 years old.
Musk said there must be a number of 'vampires'.
Although the revelations of their existence in the system do not necessarily mean that they were sent checks or that there was intentional fraud, it does show a massive supervision of the federal government where long -dead Americans are still considered potential and eligible beneficiaries .

It comes after he mentioned the cases of social security fraud on Tuesday at a press conference that 'first buddy' Elon Musk found in the desk of the agency
Fraud in social security is real, but it is unlikely that the levels of fraud Trump and Musk suggest that this week will be accurate.
In an audit of SSA published in November 2021, it was revealed that the agency paid $ 298 million to 24,000 Americans who were already dead. The audit has credited most of these payments to technical errors or errors in the policy.
In the meantime, other SSA inspector -inspector -general audits in recent years that are assessed by Business Insider and analyzed that several thousand dead Americans have received payments from the federal government and other mistakes are the result of too many paying beneficiaries.
Although this amounts to billions of losses, it still represents below one percent of the total SSA benefit payments.
