Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has left all his stamp by becoming the highest ranking of open gay officer in American history.
But when he was asked by FOX News' Bret Baier, Bessent deposited that it was a big problem.
Speaking outside the Treasury Department Building in Washington, DC, Baier Bessent called the 'highly ranked homosexual member of the cabinet'.
Bessent corrected Baier and pointed out that he was actually the “highest rating of openly gay officer in American history.”
“But what is important to me,” Besent continued. “Is that coincidence is not causal.”
“President Trump, I believe, chose me because he believed that I was the best person for the job,” said Bessent. “Not because people with green eyes are better finance minister, not because of sexual preference.”
Bessent added: “It's a different way to look at the world.”
Baier noted that the climb of Bessent was 'based on merits'.

Bessent was a successful hedge fund manager, who previously worked for Democratic Super-Donor George Soros, before he was chosen by Trump to run the Ministry of Finance.
