A man is pictured killed in an alleged stabbing in Adelaide’s CBD

A man has been charged with murder over an alleged stabbing at an apartment complex in Adelaide’s CBD.

Lewis Parkin, 23, was discovered by emergency workers on the west side of Hindley Street just before 8pm on Friday.

Mr Parkin, who is said to be the son of a serving SA police officer, was rushed to hospital where he later died from his injuries.

A 42-year-old man from St Marys, in Adelaide’s southern suburbs, was arrested by police after he was found several kilometers away near the Torrens River.

Police say he left the property before emergency services arrived.

The man has been refused bail and is expected to appear earlier the Adelaide Magistrates Court on November 11.

The two men were known to each other and the incident cannot be considered random, police said in a statement on Saturday.
