A man’s body is found between concrete barriers on the Pacific Highway in NSW

A body has been found behind a concrete barrier along a highway in NSW’s Mid North Coast.

Police were called to Johns River, about 36 kilometers south of Taree, about 5pm on Sunday after reports a body had been found.

Officers found a dead man in a nature strip behind concrete barriers along the Pacific Highway.

The man is believed to be in his thirties, but his identity has not yet been officially established.

A crime scene has been cordoned off and an investigation has been launched into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward and have appealed for witnesses to help identify a man who allegedly walked south along the M1 Pacific Motorway between Kew and Johns River between November 7 and 10.
