A Master Makeup Artist’s Trick for Droopy Eyelids Will Give You a ‘Seamless Look’
A MAKE-UP ARTIST wants you to show your best side by accentuating your eyes. She also draws a line through fine lines.
And those aren’t the only beauty tricks she has up her sleeve to save her skin.
EYES LOVE IT
Drita Paljevic, head makeup artist at Kevyn Aucoin Beauty, has shared her most striking tips for opening up your eyes.
“Start by applying a base colour to your eyelid,” she told The US Sun.
“Make sure to contour your lids with a matte eyeshadow that is three to four shades darker than your base and always blend the eyeshadow out for a smooth look,” she added.
To prevent your eyes from aging, you can make the biggest difference with one step.
“Apply eye shadow to the overhanging area. Always smudge your eyeliner. Liquid eyeliner accentuates the drooping/overhanging eyelids,” she said.
LINE IN THE SAND
To combat fine lines, she recommends one particular beauty product.
“Look for concealers with hyaluronic acid in the ingredients list, which helps hydrate the skin,” she said.
She talked about the methods behind her makeup craze.

“Before applying makeup, you should prep your skin with a hydrating face and eye cream to plump up the skin and under the eyes,” the doctor said.
“Allow the creams to fully absorb into your skin before starting your makeup routine to prevent creasing,” she added.
She shared how the Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer is an ideal multi-functional product that allows you to create a natural look, or even a full coverage glam look.
She swears by the versatile $37 buy that can be used as foundation, concealer or corrector, to create a “flawless base.”
READY FOR YOUR COMPLEXION CLOSE-UP
To turn back the clock, she lives by the philosophy ‘less is more’, especially when it comes to using makeup on mature skin.
“Make sure your skin is prepped with a hydrating skin care routine before applying makeup,” she said.
“Opt for cream-based makeup products over matte or full-coverage products, as these will de-emphasize skin texture,” she added.
“Only powder the skin where necessary, as it accentuates fine lines and wrinkles.”
POP, DROP AND LOCK IT
The contouring craze made popular by the Kardashians is far from over, and her tips will help you achieve a tighter look.
Start by looking in the mirror and focusing on the problem areas.
“Start contouring by hiding problem areas with a darker shade,” she said.
To really make your cheekbones pop — or really accentuate them — she recommends determining your skin tone so you can choose the blush shade that suits you best.
“Opt for warm-toned blushes if you have a warm undertone, and cool-toned blushes if you have a cool undertone,” she said.
Her pro skin care trick involves applying a moisturizer that suits your skin type and using your favorite foundation.
And don’t be fooled by the fake look you see through filter adjustments on social media.
“What you see on social media is a myth. Most makeup artists and models use filters to blur skin texture and imperfections,” she said.
