Some people never take off their engagement ring, but Abbey Clancy is not one of them.
The model recently revealed the simple reason why she sometimes doesn’t wear bling, admitting that even her friends question her if she shows her finger.

In the latest episode of The Therapy Crouch, the podcast she shares with her husband Peter Crouch, Abbey explains why, when even her husband Peter didn’t know.
In the episode, Peter read out the question: “Why doesn’t Abbey always wear her wedding and engagement rings?”
But the Britain’s Next Top Model star immediately denied all the rumours with a very simple statement.
It all has to do with her fake tan, she explained.

“If I put on self-tanner, I take it off again,” she said.
To avoid getting her ring dirty and to ensure there are no pale spots on her skin, Abbey takes off her ring before getting her spray tan.
“That’s the only reason. If you’re putting on self-tanner, you don’t want to be single sometimes,” Peter joked at the time.
But Abbey added that she wouldn’t mind a ring upgrade either.
Abbey’s blind reportedly cost a whopping £200,000 in 2009, when Peter proposed to her.
The pear-shaped diamond is a timeless classic, so it’s no wonder people notice when she doesn’t wear it.
They tied the knot at Stapleford Park Hotel in Leicestershire in 2011 and cemented their commitment to each other 11 years later with a ‘beautiful’ moment on the beach, surrounded by their children.
Speaking about their innovation, Abbey said Hello! Magazine at the time: “We started out as a young couple and now we’re here with our four children walking us down the aisle.
“I feel like the luckiest person on soil.
“We were supposed to renew our vows on our 10th anniversary but due to the lockdown we couldn’t do that… Pete is quite the romantic at heart; he’s definitely earned brownie points for it next one a few years.”
They married for the second time under an arch of white roses on a private island at the Anantara Dhigu Maldives Resort.
Peter, who was clearly smitten, told the publication: “Abbey looked beautiful, and even after 11 years I still got butterflies in my stomach when she walked down the aisle.”
