“The Bose Ultra Open Earbuds have one of the most unique and unusual designs of any earbuds I’ve seen in recent years,” CNET technology expert David Carnoy wrote in his review. “They literally clip onto the side of your ears and have an open design with micro speakers that blast sound into your ears while still allowing you to hear what’s going on around you.
He added: “At $299 they are overpriced, but otherwise there are many positives to them, including a surprisingly comfortable, secure fit and very good sound quality for open buds.” So this $50 discount resolves one of the few criticisms we encountered during our hands-on experience.
