Activewear empire PE Nation has partnered with airline Virgin Australia to launch cozy uniforms for staff and cabin crew to wear during the winter.

The multi-million dollar brand, co-founded by Sydney-based Pip Edwards and Claire Tregoning, will dress employees working on flights to Tasmania.

The limited edition clothing consists of a black hooded bomber jacket and a sleeveless high-neck puffer vest, made from 100 percent recycled fabric.

The latest pieces dubbed the ‘Tassie tux’ are designed to be worn over Virgin Australia’s signature red dresses or over black slacks and shirts and will compliment the overall look.

The stylish jackets keep the cabin crew warm during work and are both fashionable and practical.

“Function and comfort are key to our everyday lives, and the black puffer jacket is a staple in everyone’s wardrobe,” said Ms. Edwards.

Co-founder Claire Tregoning added how the pieces are centered around a “sporty puffer jacket – an essential part of the Tassie wardrobe.”

The winter essential will be a convenient option for cabin crew when walking the tarmac during the off-season commute, rather than mid-flight.

The business partnership launched Wednesday morning on a flight from Melbourne to Hobart.

This will likely be another win for the athleisure brand that has been growing stronger in recent years, with more than 600 dealers worldwide.

Currently, the founders are looking to expand internationally with plans to open the first US office.

Cabin crew and airline personnel wear the uniform only during the winter off-season.
