Actress Sarah Abo breaks a major fashion rule in Paris during her work trip for the Olympics: ‘It’s not right’

Sarah Abo made a fashion blunder on Thursday morning during her work trip to France to cover the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

The 38-year-old Today co-host was filming a segment for her Channel Nine morning show in the French capital when a guest revealed she had broken a key rule.

The presenter wore a simple white T-shirt and black jeans, with a gray scarf draped over her shoulders and covered her dark locks with a cream beret.

But when she met Australian expat and podcaster Oliver Gee, he immediately noted that “only tourists and old men in the countryside” wear berets in France.

“I’ve got my beret on, my baguettes on, and I’m going to find out if I can handle this whole Paris thing,” Sarah told viewers at the start of the segment.

But Oliver said to her, ‘I like the baguettes, I like the bonjour, but I don’t really know what the beret means.’

“What do you mean? Don’t all French people wear berets?” Sarah said.

“Just the tourists and the old men in the countryside. It’s not good. I think we should lose it before we start,” Oliver explained.

The journalist seemed disappointed as she took off the hat, saying she thought it was “really beautiful.”

Sarah flew to France in style last Friday for the Olympic Games in Paris.

She was spotted checking in for her flight in first class at Sydney Airport.

The international multi-sport event will take place from July 26 to August 11.

Sarah looked excited as she walked through the airport, while A Current Affair presenter Allison Langdon was also spotted checking in for the same flight.
