‘Agar Himmat hai toh samne se lado’: Hemant Soren claims BJP spent ‘billions’ to tarnish its image | India News – Times of India
Soren alleged that the BJP was using the central agencies and billions of rupees were spent to tarnish its image.
“Agar Himmat hai toh samne se lado – kayar ki tarah lagatar peeche se vaar kyu? (If you have courage, fight from the front – why do you keep attacking from behind?)” Soren said in a social media post on X.
“Sometimes ED, sometimes CBI, sometimes one agency – sometimes someone else. Now billions of rupees have been spent to spoil my image. The situation is strange,” he added.
Soren also delved into the BJP’s ‘double engine’ rhetoric and said the BJP-led Jharkhand government had closed schools, canceled ration cards and failed to pass the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) exam during its tenure decreased.
“The BJP government has been in power for 11 years at the Center and five years in the state – calling itself a double-engine government. Then why only the elephant flew in the five years of Raghubar rule? Why were 13,000 schools closed? Why were 11 lakh – yes 11 lakh ration cards canceled in five years?” he asked.
Why wasn’t even one JPSC exam conducted in five years? Why was the old age/widow’s pension not increased and not received in five years? Why did hundreds die of starvation in the state in five years? Why were young people advised to make bicycles and sell bananas in five years?” he added.
The 81-member Jharkhand Assembly will go to the polls in two phases on November 13 and 20, with counting of votes scheduled for November 23. In 2020, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) won 30 seats, the BJP 25 seats and the Congress won 16 seats.
