AI-powered Plaud NotePin wearable device launched at this price
Plaud NotePin, an artificial intelligence (AI) wearable device that can record anything said nearby, is now available for pre-order. The company first rose to fame on short-form video platform TikTok with its AI-powered recording app. Now, it has introduced a wearable device that can be worn on a wristband, as a necklace, tie clip, or in a variety of ways. The basic AI features are available for free, but users can also pay an annual subscription for additional premium features.

The Plaud NotePin has a price for $169 (approximately Rs. 14,170) and is currently available for pre-order in the US. The basic AI features are available for free, but an additional $79 (approximately Rs. 6,620) will unlock advanced features such as summary templates and speaker labels, the company said.
The wearable device comes in Cosmic Gray, Lunar Silver, and Sunset Purple colors. Customers who pre-order the device will also receive an accessory kit, unlimited cloud storage, and a free Advanced AI membership.

The AI-powered NotePin measures 51x21x11mm and weighs 25g, according to the company’s specifications. website. It comes with 64GB of storage and is powered by a 270mAh battery. The device also features dual MEMS microphones. The NotePin also comes with a magnetic pin, a clip, a lanyard, a wrist strap, a charging dock, and a USB Type-C charging cable.
After recording conversations, the AI in NotePin transcribes the data and can be saved in over 20 professional templates and various other custom template formats. The AI-powered software also generates a summary of the conversation to provide the most important topics of conversation.
Once the transcript is saved, users can search and interact with these documents, instantly finding the information they need. Users can control the AI machine, and it can share the data. Notably, Plaud does not have an in-house AI model, but does offer users a choice of AI models from a catalog. The company revealed that both OpenAI’s GPT-4o and Claude 3.5 Sonnet are available, but no other names were mentioned.
Plaud claims that despite storing the device in the cloud, users will have complete control over their data as the files are end-to-end encrypted. The company also claims that the device can record audio continuously for 20 hours on a single charge and can stay on standby for 40 days.
