Airline passenger claims Delta Airlines LOST her business class ticket – before forcing her to spend thousands of dollars to buy a new ticket
A frequent flyer has criticized Delta after she claimed the airline lost her ticket number and forced her to pay thousands of dollars more for a new flight.
Tori Elyse regularly shows off her daily life online with her more than 140,000 TikTok followers.
The Arizona hairstylist recently took a break from her usual beauty content to vent her frustrations with Delta and warn other travelers after she had a “chaotic” and “horrible” experience with the airline that left her in tears.
In a video that has gone viral and has been viewed more than 672,000 times, Tori says the travel agent pretended she “made up her ticket” when she wanted to return to Phoenix after a trip to Greece.
She claimed that despite originally purchasing a business class seat, which cost her “thousands and thousands,” she had to buy another ticket to get home.

Tori described her frustrating experience in a nine-minute video she shared on TikTok.
She explained that things went wrong when she and her husband got up to board the plane home.
“When I give them my confirmation number, which, mind you, is in my phone. I have all my confirmations. I even got the emails that said ‘it’s time to check in for your flight’ – everything is set for me,” Tori explained.
But instead of welcoming her onto the plane, Delta employees claimed she didn’t have a ticket for the flight, even though they were able to find her husband’s ticket without any difficulty.
She said airline staff looked “a bit strange” and “confused” before asking her for another ticket number or a separate confirmation.
She remembered what the gate agent had told her: “We can see that you have your seat reserved, we have your name here, but we can’t find your ticket number.”
Tori claimed she and her husband had to sit at the desk for over an hour while the employee tried to determine the source of the problem.
“I’m starting to panic because it’s still 30 to 40 minutes before our flight leaves,” she admitted.

People poured into the comments section expressing their shock at the situation, with some saying they too had issues with the airline.
Tori claimed that the airline staff said it was due to “miscommunication at the back end.”
“We see your name, but we don’t have your ticket number. And if we don’t have your ticket number, we can’t get you on the flight.”
‘I’m like, “Hmm, well, our flight leaves in 45 minutes and I paid for this flight. My husband and I are flying together, as was his flight and everything was fine. I need you guys to get me on this flight, this is crazy.”
She said the time kept ticking away and with 25 minutes to go until departure the staff said, “Ma’am, if you want to catch this flight, you’re going to have to pay for a new flight. That’s the only way.”
With no other choice, she decided to book a ticket for the flight. She added: ‘It takes a lot for me to cry. I don’t cry easily, but I literally started crying because they were charging me thousands of dollars to get on this flight.’
Tori and her husband made it to the plane just minutes before they arrived. The couple expected to get their money back when they got back to the US.
She survived the 11-hour flight from Athens to Atlanta, but on the second leg of the journey from Atlanta to Phoenix she ran into trouble again.
The frustrated pilot said she was put on a different flight than her husband and subsequently had problems getting on that flight as well.
It turned out that her ticket had been assigned to another passenger, preventing her from scanning it upon boarding.
‘The [staff at the airport] were like, “How did you get this ticket? You’re not on this flight, you’re on the next flight” – literally acting like I made this ticket up.
‘I’m like, “Guys, I had this printed out by your staff, someone who works for your airline. I didn’t just come here and make this up and I’m trying to get on a flight. This is what was printed and given to me.”
After the complicated disaster, she was able to board the plane on standby, but she never got her money back.
At the end of the clip she added: ‘I know a lot of people who like Delta Airlines and have never had any problems, but I have never experienced anything more chaotic and horrible than this.
“Not only am I out thousands and thousands of dollars, but the way the whole situation was handled was absolutely horrible, guys.”
People responded en masse, expressing their shock at the situation, with some saying they too had problems with the airline.
Someone said, ‘Delta, you have to give her her money back for this!’
Someone else wrote: ‘As a former flight attendant for Delta, this happens a lot more often than people realize.’
Another user added: ‘You will get your money back for both tickets.’
“No, Delta Airlines has been really chaotic lately,” someone else noted.
