Alarming new statistics from ICE show the overwhelming number of migrants living in the US who have been convicted of murder

According to ICE, more than 13,000 immigrants convicted of murder in the United States or abroad are currently living freely in America.

The staggering number was disclosed to Congress by the agency earlier this week as it admitted that many of the killers have slipped through the net.

The immigrants are classified by ICE as “non-detained,” meaning they are known to the agency and have pending immigration cases in America, but they are also not behind bars because they are not a priority or because ICE cannot take them find, reports NBC News.

The data comes amid several high-profile killings of Americans allegedly committed by illegal immigrants, including the brutal murder of 22-year-old Laken Riley student at the University of Georgia in February.

After the shocking surveillance came to light, Donald Trump used them Friday to attack Kamala Harris during a campaign stop in Michigan, saying, “I told you so.”

Trump described the immigrants on the list as “tough, tough, vicious criminals walking free in our country.”

However, it is not clear when the first of the total 13,099 fatal migrants entered the US, and law enforcement sources told NBC that many crossed the border under the Trump presidency.

The data was sent to Congress by ICE at the request of Republican Congressman Tony Gonzales and was collected until July 21.

Although Trump was quick to address this figure during his campaign, neither the White House nor Kamala Harris’ campaign have commented on the findings.

An official told NBC that the White House was “surprised” by the number.

Among the more than 13,000 murderous migrants are some who never came into contact with ICE, while others may have been released by the agency because they had no information about their criminal history.

In some cases, this has been fueled by soft-on-crime laws in so-called sanctuary cities, where local and state officials release migrants convicted of crimes without notifying ICE.

To then deport the convicted immigrant, it is left to ICE to track him down and detain him.

Although sources reportedly said the agency was prioritizing violent offenders on its “non-detainee” list, the total number of migrants on the list currently exceeds 7.5 million.

ICE Acting Director PJ Lechleitner said after the data release that he is seeing an increase in local law enforcement cooperating with immigration efforts due to a slew of crimes and murders allegedly committed by illegal immigrants.

One such case that captured national attention was the brutal murder of University of Georgia student Laken Riley in February.

Illegal immigrant Jose Ibarra, 26, was charged with the murder as prosecutors say he was seen on video cameras walking through her dorm room before she was killed on a nearby jogging trail.
