Aldi employee shares top tips for scoring Specialbuys and getting a sneak peek at new beauty products
SPECIALBUYS from budget stores always make shoppers go wild – whether it’s homeware, clothing or beauty products.
And now an Aldi employee has revealed the secret tips to ensure you get the best bargains.
Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK, has been working hard to make sure you don’t miss out, ahead of the launch of even more beauty dupes this month.
According to the Aldi expert, there are certain products that customers should always buy thanks to their valued social media followers.
The Hotel Collection Poppy & Barley (100ml), Pomegranate (100ml) and Peony Blush Eau de Parfums (100ml) are consumer favourites at an affordable price of just £6.99 each and are consistently sold out.
After the perfume went viral on TikTok with the hashtag ‘Aldi UK Perfume’ and garnered over 26.2 million posts, many are claiming it is a knock-off of Jo Malone’s, which cost a staggering £118.
Their cleansing balms are also a hit with consumers and rival those of Emma Hardie and Elemis.
Julie said Aldi pays a lot of attention to keeping up with the latest trends and ensuring the ingredients are of good quality.
“Our dedicated UK buying team anticipates current and future trends, creating affordable, top-quality products that meet consumer demands,” she added.
“The entire Lacura range is forensically compared against leading beauty brands to ensure quality is equal and often even exceeded.”
Where can I find Specialbuys?
If you want to be the first to know about Specialbuys, Julie recommends visiting their website where you can see exclusively what’s in store.
“Aldi shares its upcoming Specialbuys in its store and online brochuresso shoppers can be sure they’ll be among the first to know about new launches and returning bestsellers,” she said.
Another great tip is to sign up for the weekly newsletter so you can receive it straight to your inbox.
Buyers can follow @aldiuk on TikTok and @aldispecialbuysuk on Instagram to stay up to date with our latest beauty launches, especially those that are trending.
When you have to go to the shops
To make sure you don’t miss anything, it’s best to go to the stores on the day Specialbuys is released.
Normally Aldi launches new Specialbuys every Thursday and Sunday.

IF you’re looking for bargains in the aisle here, you won’t want to miss some of the new items.

New Releases
And now for the best part: the new beauty dupes that will be in stores from September 15th.
The new Lacura Peptide Lip Treatment will be available in stores from September 15th for just £2.99.
The high-performance treatments come in three varieties: ‘Unscented’, ‘Watermelon’ and ‘Salted Caramel’. They contain added shea butter and capuacu ingredients that provide long-lasting hydration and repair dry lips, for a visibly softer and shinier finish.
Following on from Rhode Skin’s popular lip treatments, developed by Hailey Biiber, this one saves you a fraction of the price, with the original costing £18.
Aldi has also come up with an alternative to Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty £20 Tinted Lip Oils, which have been posted 73 million times on TikTok alone.
You can also use them as a blush on your cheeks and they come in three shades: ‘Pink Rose’, ‘Merlot Moment’ and ‘Berry Bliss’ for just £3.99 each.
There will also be new hair care products hitting stores later this year that are enriched with wheat protein, including the new Replenish Ultra Hydrating Shampoo (£4.49, 250ml) and Replenish Ultra Hydrating Conditioner (£4.49, 250ml).
Julie says Lacura plans to launch a range of celebrity-inspired fragrances (£9.99, 100ml).
