Aldi is releasing brand new tins that taste just like our favourite childhood sweets
NO summer picnic is complete without a can.
And with the weather set to clear up later this week, Aldi has released some nostalgic cans of booze.
The budget supermarket’s range of uniquely flavoured Taurus cider cans has proven to be a hit with connoisseurs so far this year.
The cocktail flavors Pina Colada, Raspberry Mojito and Passionfruit Martini have already sold out in some stores, just two weeks after launch.
But fear not, because now you can try even crazier flavors.
Aldi has withdrawn all new Taurus cider cans in lemon sorbet, strawberry and even chewing gum flavours from sale.
Brits with a sweet tooth looking for a drink that reminds them of their favourite childhood sweets will of course be delighted.
Karen Meredith shared on Instagram that the cider with lemon sorbet is “delicious,” while Hayley Trub called it “delicious and refreshing.”
Each 330ml can costs just 99p.
There is the Taurus Strawberry Laces Flavored English Cider, Taurus Bubble Gum Flavored English Pear Cider and Taurus Lemon Sherbet Flavored English Cider.
Aldi’s social media team showed off the beautiful looks on Instagram.
“I have them all ready for our week off,” said content creator Kirsty.
“Raising the bar every day,” Rio Bravo joked.
“They look beautiful,” added Caroline Archer.
At 3.4% alcohol by volume, they are also lower in alcohol than traditional ciders, which can be as high as 12% alcohol by volume.
The weather in Britain has been downright worrying so far this summer.
NHS guidelines for drinking alcohol
According to the NHS, drinking more than 14 units of alcohol a week can be harmful to your health.
To minimize the health risks of alcohol consumption if you drink alcohol most weeks:
- Men and women are advised not to drink more than 14 units per week on a regular basis
- Spread your drinking over 3 or more days if you regularly drink up to 14 units per week
- If you want to cut down, try not drinking alcohol for a few days a week
If you are pregnant or think you may become pregnant, it is safest not to drink alcohol at all. This will minimize the risks to your baby.
