Aldi releases £25 dupe of Hotel Chocolat’s £100 Velvetiser and it’s so easy to use
ALDI shoppers will be rushing to Aldi stores later this week to get their hands on their new dupe.
The much-loved Velvetiser from Hotel Chocolat is the perfect gift for Christmas, whether for a loved one or for yourself.
But the indispensable product for gourmets comes at a price.
The Velvetiser costs £100 and promises to make the creamiest hot chocolate you’ve ever had at home in just two and a half minutes.
But shoppers will be happy to hear that Aldi is releasing its own dupe.
The Hot Chocolate Maker costs just £24.99 and is available in two colours: stainless steel or white.
Aldi bosses say: “Enjoy creamy, perfect hot chocolate with our easy-to-use Hot Chocolate Maker.”
All you have to do is add 200 ml of milk and chocolate flakes to the maker and let them melt together.
The hot chocolate maker also has the capacity to make hot or cold foam, depending on what you prefer.
The Specialbuy goes on sale this Sunday, December 8, so you better set an alarm if you want to grab it yourself.
Also available from the German retailer next weekend there’s an espresso machine for just £59.99, which comes with a milk heating wand and one or two espresso shot wands.
Shoppers recently went into an uproar when Aldi released a dupe of the Dyson Airwrap for just £50.
It comes with five attachments including a hairdryer, two auto-winding curling wands and 32mm and 60mm brushes for every styling need.
It also has two heat controls and a cool shot button to keep the style in place – all for just £50.
You’ll save £430 compared to the real deal and it’s releasing just in time for Christmas, making it the ideal gift for beauty lovers.
The supermarket also surveyed 2,000 adults to investigate their shopping habits and found that 77 per cent of Aldi shoppers admit to leaving the store with a Specialbuy purchase when they were just stopping by for a fast food store.
Nine in ten (90 percent) of these visit the aisle when doing their weekly shopping, regardless of whether they purchase anything.
Nearly two-thirds (64 percent) look forward to going down the aisle when shopping.
And 84 percent have gone into a store to see what is on offer there.
When is the best time to shop at Aldi?
WHEN it comes to shopping at Aldi, the best time to do so depends on what you want to buy.
For discounted items – when stores are open
Items with red stickers are rare in Aldi’s 830 UK stores, but the supermarket says none of its food goes to waste, so there are some to be found – if you act quickly.
A spokesperson for the supermarket said: “All items are reduced to 50 per cent of the recommended retail price before stores open on the best before date.”
That means your best chance of finding discounted food items is to head to the stores as soon as they open.
Opening hours vary per store, but most are open from 7:00 am or 8:00 am. You can find the times of your nearest store via the supermarket online store locator.
For special purchases – Thursday and Sunday
Special buys include Aldi’s weekly collection of items not normally sold, ranging from pizza ovens to power tools.
New stock hits stores every Thursday and Sunday, so these are obviously the best days to pop in for the best one-off deals.
For an even better chance of bagging the best items, get there before your local store opens.
Remember, once they’re gone, they’re gone, so if you really want something, get there as early as possible
