Kyle Snyder, the Olympic gold medal-winning wrestler and former NCAA champion, has been arrested in a prostitution sock according to several reports.

The arrest took place last week after Snyder reportedly responded to a fake internet advertisement created by law enforcement to catch potential Johns trying to pay for sex.

The 29-year-old Snyder is said to have set up a date with an undercover agent, arrived at the hotel 30 minutes later and offered to pay cash for oral sex.

He was then “arrested for prostitution by uniformed officers in the hotel room,” officers told TMZ in a statement.

The police of Columbus Sargent Joe Albert unveiled the arrest of reporters on Monday and explained that Snyder had been arrested among the 16 men as part of the Angel. He will be back in court on 19 May.

After winning gold in heavyweight during the RIO matches of 2016, Snyder was appointed president Donald Trump‘s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition in 2018. He then won silver during the COVID-opposed 2020 Tokyo competitions in the summer of 2021.

Snyder, a self-described Christian, is married to a former Syracuse football player, Maddie Pack, according to online reports.

He recently signed with the real American Freestyle Wrestling League. The competition has Hulk Hogan as his commissioner and opens its inaugural season in August.

Although he was originally from Maryland, Snyder has ties with Columbus after winning three national championships in the state of Ohio. The second came in 2017 after tearing cartilage in his chest during the quarterfinals.
