Amit Shah slams Rahul Gandhi as ‘machine of lies’ at public meeting | India News – Times of India
Home Minister Amit Shah launched a fierce attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi at a public meeting on Tuesday, calling him a “machine of lies” capable of deceiving in any language. Shah demanded that Gandhi clarify his stand on the removal of Article 370 in Kashmir, and questioned whether it was a positive or negative decision.
“Rahul Gandhi is a lying machine who can lie in any language. He should make it clear whether removing Article 370 from Kashmir was a good or bad thing,” Shah said. He accused Gandhi of undermining the significance of the Ram Lalla temple in Ayodhya, which was recently inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Shah further criticised the Congress for its historic failure to meet the long-standing demands of soldiers. “Soldiers have been demanding ‘One Rank, One Pension’ for 40 years but the Congress has never fulfilled that promise,” he said. Contrasting this with the actions of the BJP government, he noted that Modi implemented the scheme within a year of coming to power and introduced the Agniveer scheme despite the Congress’ attempts to politicise it.
The Home Minister also praised the BJP’s record in Haryana and claimed that significant progress had been made in procurement at minimum support price (MSP) and financial support to farmers under Modi’s leadership. He highlighted that PM Modi had transferred Rs 297 crore to farmers in Bhiwani alone, as against the Rs 41,000 crore he received during the Congress era.
Shah’s criticism extended to the Congress-National Conference alliance in Jammu and Kashmir, alleging that their post-election agenda was to release terrorists and negotiate with Pakistan. He stressed that under the BJP, no attempt to restore Article 370 would be tolerated.
Finally, Shah highlighted Haryana’s contributions to national security and agriculture. He said that the soldiers and farmers of the region have played a crucial role in India’s achievements.
“Thousands of soldiers from Haryana have sacrificed their lives for Kashmir. They will not allow any attempt to bring terrorism back to the region,” Shah concluded.
