Everyone on board! The cast of Below deck and the spin-off series will do just about anything for love…or at least to have a fun crew hookup.
After seven seasons of the Bravo series – with more than 100 episodes – there are plenty of romances to watch. Add the Below deck Mediterranean swings and Below deck sailing yacht relationships and viewers have a lot to keep track of.
Below deck‘s Rocky Dakota And Eddie Lucas served as a guideline for crew members on what not to do while sailing. Chief Stewardess Kate Chatain revealed on the Bravos Daily dish in January 2020 that Season 3’s secret hookup “ruined it for everyone” going forward.
“This is why we can’t have fun, Eddie and Rocky,” she joked. “I think it was short-lived, but everyone had a great time.”
Captain Lee Rosbach weighed in on the dramatic relationship – Eddie cheated on his girlfriend with Rocky – saying “that wasn’t a romance.”
While Rocky and Eddie’s time together was tough for many aboard the ship, the following season brought Ben Robinson And Emily Warburton-Adamsdear relation. The couple also kept it ashore for a while, but finally called it quits in 2017.
‘He’s a magical man. It was a lot of fun, always unexpected things that came up. I loved it,” Emily said in a May 2020 episode Life after Bravo about the couple’s time together in Florida. “I was coming back and forth from the UK but we felt very comfortable together. It was exciting because we were always traveling around. It was like we were always on the go.”
Throughout the five seasons, Below deck Med also gave birth to many memorable couples including Malia Whiteis two beauties. She went out briefly West Walton during season 2, and her boyfriend, Tom Checkettsjoined the cast during Season 5.
After dating for over a year, Malia announced in September 2020 that she and Tom had gone their separate ways. “Yes, Tom and I have split up. The details around it I try to keep a little bit private just out of respect for him and me,” she said via an Instagram video. “But yes, I’m single.”
The boatswain later admitted she regretted bringing her romance on board. “You learn; you live and you learn,” she told Us Weekly exclusively in July 2021. “I think in hindsight I probably wouldn’t like it if he came on the show. I was never really dying to deal with him the show. I actually wish we had kept those two things separate. I think that would have helped our relationship a lot.”
