LOVE ISLAND winner Kai Fagan is waiting to hear whether he will move from Casa Amor to Castleford in a deal at London Broncos.
The reality TV star, who was a PE teacher, won £50,000 on the ITV show after striking up a relationship with Sanam Harrinanan.
But after moving from Manchester to the capital he took part in the one-off trial for the Broncos’ reserve side at Rosslyn Park.
Now he awaits word from second-string coach Kieran Robertson on whether he will progress to the next stage after putting himself through his paces.
Fagan, 25, had been in contact with the club since moving south as he fancied playing rugby league again.
“I scored a few tries – training tries count, don’t they?” he said.
“But during the contact exercises I forgot how physical rugby league is.
“It was brilliant though. I absolutely loved it. I don’t know if I will be invited back, we will have to wait and see.”
Before heading to South Africa in search of love, Fagan played rugby league while at Sheffield Hallam University and was picked for the England Universities RL side in 2019, where he was given his shirt by former Steve Prescott Man of Steel Luke Gale.
He came off the substitutes’ bench in a 16-6 win against GB Police and a 38-26 win against Championship club Halifax’s reserves.

The Love Island star was also selected for the student side of GB Pioneers.
Fagan played in the second row and started for the Universities North side when it defeated Universities South 34-22 at Loughborough in February 2019 – wearing a shirt from that occasion for his trial.
He also played at center or on the wing in rugby union with club Burnage in south Manchester and represented Jamaica in the 15-a-side code, for whom he also played sevens.
