Hollywood’s biggest stars were seen leaving their vehicles and walking to the Oscars after pro-Palestinian protesters blocked the streets and crowded the sidewalks.

A video posted to X, formerly Twitter, showed activists blocking the route leading to the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, where the 96th Academy Awards will be held on Sunday.

Protesters were seen at the intersection of Highland Avenue and De Longpre Avenue, bringing a line of black Escalades to a halt.

One protester displayed a sign that read, “The Oscars sponsored by baby killers,” while another read, “Hollywood’s silence is violence.”

Singer-songwriter Ariana Grande took to Instagram to post a faceless photo of her diamond-encrusted necklace and pink ruffled dress with the caption “traffic.”

Supporters linked arms and sang a song calling for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas conflict.

Los Angeles Police Department officers rushed to the scene, where protesters were shouting and beating drums.

Riot police led demonstrators away from the intersection. As they continued to sing, stationary vehicles began to drive through.

The protest was organized by a coalition of artists and film workers in collaboration with Writers Against the War on Gaza LA, Film Workers for Palestine, SAG-AFTRA Members for Ceasefire and other groups.

Before the demonstration, Film Workers for Palestine released a statement on social media in collaboration with the Los Angeles chapter of Jewish Voice for Peace.

“We will not be distracted by the entertainment industry,” the message read, urging people to meet at the Cinerama Dome at 1:00 PM PT.

“We WILL continue to call for a permanent ceasefire and Palestinian liberation. Let us mobilize and take to the streets to show that we refuse to look away from this ongoing genocide! Armistice NOW!’

Hordes of celebrities showed up as the Oscars pre-show came to a close. It is unclear whether this delay was related to traffic caused by the protest.
