Murray thinks about his new role: “It is difficult to get away from a sport such as tennis, which is so long for me for so long, and then have nothing to fill that void.

“I have seen it before with other athletes – if they did not have different interests immediately after sport, it will be difficult for them to know who they are.

“I am also only 38 years old, so that is a long time to retire.

“My plan was always to spend more time on my other business interests as soon as I finished playing tennis, and I enjoy working on some of those projects now.

“I think it is work ethics and a determination for me to succeed.”
