Ange Postecoglou has always been a deep thinker – and it could be seen completely after the triumph of Tottenham in the Europa League final

At the start of the press conference after the game, Postecoglou left a room of football journalists in astonishment after referring to the former Australian Prime Minister Paul Keating (depicted, in 1992)
Every non-Australian football fan would have had no idea what the Hotspur boss had about.
In March 1993, Keating won an extraordinary victory in the Australian Federal Elections, as a result of which the Labor party led to a historic fifth consecutive term of office.
At the time, Keating was tipped on a large scale to lose the coalition government, led by Dr. John Hewson.
Keating remains a polarizing figure in Australia because of his long history of using his humor and sharp tongue to defeat figures on the conservative side of politics.
He is also generally remembered because he said that the terrible economic decline of the country was ‘the recession we had to have’ in the late 1980s and early 90s.
While Spurs players – and their jubilant fans – can enjoy their moment in the sun, the future of Postecoglou will remain a talk point in the club.
As Postecoglou declared courageous, he ‘always a trophy in his second season’ – and against all opportunities, ‘Aussie Ange’ delivered.
Undoubtedly the biggest triumph of his management career, the trail blower became the first Australian manager to win a trophy in a major European club competition.

It is generally expected that Postecoglou (photo with his players with his players) will be shown the door in Spurs after a terrible season in the Premier League
It was also the first piece of silverware from Tottenham in 17 years.
A filthy goal in the first half of Brennan Johnson was ultimately the difference in the San Mames Stadium, with the victory also guaranteed the following season that Champions League football.
It is generally expected that Postecoglou will be shown the door – and if so, what a glorious exit of ‘Mike Drop’.
Postecoglou stated on the full -time whistle: ‘I want to (want to stay). I don’t feel that I completed the job here.
‘The moment I accepted the role, I had one thing in my head, and that is to win something – and we have done that now … but I want to build on it.
‘I know that our form of competition is terrible (currently 17th), nowhere close enough and unacceptable, but we are the third not to change this football club.
‘If I fell short, I was happy to copy it, but I believed it in me. That was my ambition.
“I wanted to mention it (on the record) – and I was willing to wear it when it didn’t happen.”
