An irate airline passenger has taken aim at “entitled” travelers in a furious rant on Reddit, criticizing travelers for their rude behavior toward their staff.

In a bid to calm the public’s anger, the angry traveller has spoken out about the lack of respect he experiences towards airline customer service staff and airport personnel.

“What I don’t understand is why you are rude to customer service or airport staff when you ask for help? Why are you mean to the person you are trying to help? Does being mean give you a sense of joy and pride?”

The Redditor stressed that it “costs nothing to be a little kind” and that it’s important to understand “that it’s not their fault.”

They also noted that “harsh words and attitudes” can impact a person’s mental health and even lead to someone quitting their job.

The Redditor concluded his rant by praising those who “remain kind despite the inconvenience.”

They wrote: ‘You are unique! This world needs you more than those spoiled people.’

‘Also treat the people who work behind the scenes, such as customer service via phone and messages, kindly. We are all human and do our best to help each other.’

They ended with a call to action, concluding: ‘Always remember not to cause anyone else’s misery, folks. That’s all. Thank you! I hope you all enjoy your flights and be kind.

“It’s 2024 and people are still crazy!!! If you’re one of those crazy people, maybe you need to adjust your attitude or personality.”

‘I can’t tell you how many times just by being nice I’ve gotten an upgrade or extra help with something.

‘A few years ago I got a free upgrade to D1 on an international flight during Snowmageddon. I think it was only because I was kind and understanding to someone who was being abused by hundreds of people (I didn’t ask for an upgrade, it was a surprise to me).’
