Angry Noel Radford left in a rage after wasting money on rip-offs in Dubai

DAD-OF-22 Noel Radford has been left furious after splashing the cash on ‘rip-off’ chocolate in Dubai.

Just last week we saw the father of Britain’s largest family post a lengthy rant after being less than impressed by a luxurious Sunday roast at a famous chef-recommended restaurant while on holiday in the United Arab Emirates restaurant.

But Noel’s frustration over his posh Dubai trip now continues after he was ‘absolutely ripped off’ in the influencer hotspot.

During his luxury getaway, the Radford patriarch headed to the iconic Dubai Mall, located the largest shopping center in the world next to the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world.

But while at the mall, which has more than 1,200 stores and unforgettable entertainment experiences, the cake shop owner was not happy with his expensive treats.

In recent months, Fix Dessert Chocolatier’s viral Dubai chocolate bar has taken social media by storm.

So it’s no surprise that the Radford kids asked their parents to stock up in the skyscraper-filled city.

Noel, 53, and Sue, 49, bought three bars of the gooey, crunchy, loaded chocolate bars, filled with pistachio cream, shredded filo pastry and milk chocolate.

But the couple, who live in a 10-bedroom Morecambe house – known as the ‘millionaire’s house’ – in Lancashire, were shocked by the price.

Taking to their official Radford account, the stars of Channel 5 TV show 22 Kids and Counting asked their followers: “Is Dubai chocolate a rip-off?”

Unlike her husband, Sue was impressed with their finds, beaming, “Look what we’ve got.”

The mother of 22 held up three bars of chocolate as she asked her husband: “Shall we tell them how much they were?”

At this, Noel quickly snapped, “No, we don’t, it’s stupid.

“This is the one thing the kids said: ‘you have to bring it back’.”

Noel then admitted that they spent a total of £100 on just three bars of chocolate, as he explained: “Two bars were about £80.

“I don’t want to say how many because that’s just stupid.”

Sue then held up a smaller bar that wasn’t as “thick”, as Noel confirmed: “It cost less than £20.

‘The other two, I’m going to say they were £40 each.

“What a rip off. Absolute rip off at £40 each.”

Sue tried to make light of the situation as she interjected, “It is Nice chocolate yes.

How can the Radfords, a family of 22, afford to live?

As Britain’s largest family, it should come as no surprise that Sue and Noel Radford must have some hefty bills.

Together they have no fewer than 22 children and seven dogs, which often makes some people wonder how they manage their money.

The Radfords support themselves with the proceeds from Noel’s bakery, The Radford Pie Company, which is located near their home.

On them websiteit says: “We have had our own beautiful bakery since 1999 and this is how we manage to support (and feed) our huge and growing family as well as the local people of Heysham and Morecambe.

The family expanded their business to cater to online orders placed across the UK.

The business is a family affair, with Noel at the helm and some of their children helping out.

The older children, who work at least part-time, do not get a free ride because they have to pay a small amount of rent to their parents.

“We elderly people do pay a bit of room and board. Admittedly, it’s not much, but I’m also currently trying to save for my own house.” their daughter Chloe said in a video on the website YouTube channel.

Sue added: “We’ve always said that if you want to buy somewhere, renting is a bit of dead money, so we’d rather you save that money and stay at home a little longer.

“I also believe that they should pay board money if they earn. Our parents always raised us with the fact that we had to pay room and board.”

It is known that Noel and Sue are not dependent on benefits for their large brood and live from their cake shop for their income.

They also revealed that they make money from brand partnerships on social media.

The Radford family star in their own reality TV show 22 Kids and Counting, which has already run for four series.

Brand expert Andy Barr believes Noel and Sue were paid less than £10,000 for each show.

He told the Daily mail: “The typical per-episode compensation will be in the thousands, rather than the tens or hundreds of thousands that people often think is the case with these types of TV shows.

“If they continue to get orders for a fourth or fifth season, they can ask for a higher fee.”

He estimates that the Radfords earn £5,000 per episode.

“Chloe bought some back and she let us have a line of it and it was really fun.”

To this, Noel added: ‘But I think where Chloe got hers from, she found it somewhere a bit cheaper than what we got. I think because it’s in the mall.

Radford fans react

The TikTok clip, which is on the official @theradfordfamilyofficialaccount, has clearly left many open-mouthed as it was only shared 17 hours ago but quickly racked up 82,700 views.

Social media users were baffled by the price of the chocolate and many flocked to the comments to express this.

One person said: “€40 you have one bar of chocolate? That’s ridiculous.”

Another added: “Shocking price.”

A third commented: “Crazy prices.”

You’ve been scammed, they’re not even the original ones

But at the same time, eagle-eyed chocolate fans were keen to point out that the Radfords had indeed been ‘scammed’, as they had not actually bought the official viral chocolate, but instead a dupe.

One chocolate lover wrote: “That’s not the official one… it’s made by Fix Official Chocolatiers.”

A second claimed: “You’ve been ripped off, they’re not even the originals.”

Meanwhile, someone else explained: “That’s not even the real thing either, it’s called a solution.”
