Anker’s new MagGo power banks and stands come with fast Qi2 charging
Anker has been featured extensively in CNET’s best portable power stations and best portable chargers & power banks, with devices like the Anker Solix F3800 and Anker 523 PowerCore Slim taking some of the top spots. So it’s no surprise to see that Anker continues to add new portable power stations and power banks to its lineup, with the new Anker MagGo chargers and power banks announced at IFA 2024.
The entire series supports the new Qi2 MPP standard, with 15-watt wireless fast charging that’s compatible with iPhone 12 and later devices running iOS 17.4 and later.
There are five new devices in total. The Anker MagGo Wireless Charging Station is a three-in-one foldable pad that charges an iPhone, Apple Watch and wireless earbuds like AirPods. It has a unique design, with two “wings” that connect to separate charging pads that fold up into a small puck, making it a great option for travel. It comes in black, white and pink, with a green option coming later this year. It will cost you $90 from Anker.com or Amazon.
The Anker MagGo Wireless Charger is a more stationary charging option. It’s meant to keep your iPhone visible while you charge it at your desk. The stand has 360-degree rotation for viewing your phone in both landscape and portrait modes. It also comes with overvoltage and overcurrent protection. It comes in black and white and retails for $40.
The Anker MagGo Power Bank (Slim) is another portable device. It’s thin and light, with a 10,000-milliamp-hour battery to keep you charged on the go. It has a USB-C port that can deliver 30 watts of input and output, and it supports 15W wireless charging. Anker says it’s designed to ensure the surface temperature of the battery never exceeds 40 degrees Celsius (104 Fahrenheit). It’ll retail for $70 in white and pink, with a green option coming later this year.
For those with more power needs, there’s another 10,000mAh battery pack, dubbed the MagGo Power Bank. It’s not as sleek as the previous model, but comes with a built-in USB-C cable and a MagSafe-compatible Apple Watch charger in a foldable design. You get 30W input and output with the USB-C port, and 5W with the watch charger. Anker says it’s tested to last five years, and can charge an Apple Watch Series 9 to 47% in 30 minutes. It’ll set you back $80 with black, white, and pink options, with a green model coming later this year.
Finally, there’s the Anker MagGo Magnetic Case with Kickstand. This one has a built-in ring stand that can rotate 360 degrees to hold your phone upright in either portrait or landscape mode. The case itself is MagSafe compatible, with magnets. Anker says it’s 40% stronger to hold compatible power banks, chargers, car mounts, and wallets. The case is made of flexible TPU and polycarbonate and costs $30.
