YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT

Dr. Michael Aziz, internist and author of The Ageless Revolution, shared his latest anti-aging skin care scoops with The US Sun.

One of the most important habits for maintaining smooth skin is not what you put on your body, but what you put in it.

“Following a healthy lifestyle, with a diet rich in vegetables, fruits and fish, and managing stress effectively,” he said.

It is also wise to add some simple steps to your routine.

WIN SKIN

“Prioritize skin care, including using a high SPF sunscreen daily, moisturizing after washing and exfoliating regularly,” he said.

Another habit that has a big impact is getting a good night’s sleep.

According to Dr. Aziz, getting enough sleep “improves blood flow to the skin and improves its appearance.”

If you don’t want to get wrinkles, he recommends not smoking.

“It generates free radicals that are harmful to the skin,” he said.

And that’s not the only thing people with a healthy skin care routine avoid to prevent signs of aging.

‘No more frown lines,’ says 68-year-old who is told she ‘doesn’t look older’ with cream customers call ‘amazing’

“Avoid exposure to the sun and UV rays, which can severely damage the skin,” he said.

KEEP IT NATURAL

He also stressed that expensive products do not necessarily lead to a clearer complexion.

Many expensive products can have harmful effects on your skin.

“Many people fall for the trick and buy expensive treatments from big box stores that may feel nice, but often contain harmful chemicals, parabens, dyes and alcohol, which can dry out the skin,” he said.

Dr. Aziz always prefers natural ingredients.

Why does our skin wrinkle as we age?

Dr. Michael Aziz, an internist and author of the upcoming book The Ageless Revolution, revealed five habits of youthful-looking people.

“As we age, we lose collagen and elastin fibers break down,” Doctor Aziz told The US Sun.

In addition, the fat under the skin decreases in our thirties, making it less well supported.

“As a result, wrinkles form because what was once smooth and full becomes loose and wrinkled.

However, there are solutions available to build collagen, such as new devices, microneedling, and ultrasound machines at your local dermatologist.

“Cosmetic procedures such as fat grafting are also becoming increasingly popular among plastic surgeons.”

And the best part is that many of these products from the supermarket and drugstore do not even cost the main price.

“Since the skin consists of proteins, it is useful to use products with natural ingredients, such as vitamin C. Vitamin C is known for its anti-aging properties and supports the skin’s natural regeneration process.”

“Retinol (vitamin A) is excellent for reducing wrinkles, while creams with peptides promote collagen building,” he continued.

“Natural moisturizers like cocoa butter, shea butter, and coconut oil are also effective in hydrating the skin.”

In his recently published book, he also shares tips for living a long life and fighting disease.
