The Spurs manager praised his side’s mentality in the hard-fought win at the City Ground
After the game, Conte said: ‘The game was tough, it was really tough. It was my first time playing in this stadium, it’s not easy for the players, a lot of noise around the pitch.
‘I think we suffered. I think we’ve worked hard to exploit the space and cause trouble for Forest.
“It’s not easy to come here and get three points. I think this group of players is getting better and learning to suffer together. We have to improve, to play the ball together, we work. In the end I am satisfied.’
Tottenham are unbeaten in their first four Premier League games of the season, while their win on Sunday moved them to third in the top spot.

Conte added: “To get here and get three points, we didn’t have many chances, we missed a penalty. It’s good form for our team. In the past, people said Tottenham would lose games like this.
‘Certainly, we are working on this aspect’ [mentality]. The mental aspect is very important, if you are mentally strong you will be a survivor in this situation. If you are not, you will suffer.’
Conte’s side travel to London rivals West Ham in their next top flight match on Wednesday night.
