Apple Arcade: You’ll soon be able to play the mobile version of ‘Wheel of Fortune’
Apple announced Tuesday that it will add a game based on the hit TV game show Wheel of Fortune and other games to its Apple Arcade library on November 7.
A CNET Editors’ Choice Award pick, Apple Arcade is filled with well-known and classic games, in addition to exclusive titles, for you to play for $7 per month (£7, AU$10). You can find many of these games on the App Store, but they have paywalls and ads that can hinder your gaming experience. An Apple Arcade subscription lets you play any game without paywalls and ads, a feature usually referred to as “Plus” in the game’s name.
Apple recently added the viral card game Balatro and other games to the service, and these games will be added in November.
Daily Wheel of Fortune
Developer: Icy pop games
Spin the wheel, tackle brainteasers and solve daily puzzles in this mobile game based on the classic game show. New puzzles on a variety of topics like food, pop culture and more are added to this game every day, so there’s always something new to play. Hopefully Pat Sajak and Vanna White appear.
Drive forward! Carcade
Developer: Dodreams Fairytale Company
Sure, racing games are fun, but if you just want to crash into other cars like you’re in a demolition derby, then this game is for you. The goal is to crash into other cars and hit the heads of the other drivers. But be careful, because the other drivers are also looking for you. Drive monster trucks, muscle cars and many other vehicles to give yourself an edge in these chaotic clashes.
Arkanoid vs. Space Invaders Plus
Developer: Taito Corporation
The popular arcade games Arkanoid and Space Invaders collide in this spin on both games. You use a paddle and a ball to destroy the space invaders crawling across your screen, and you can also send attacks back at the invaders. There are over 150 stages and challenging bosses to complete in this mix of classic games.
Texas Hold’em Poker: Pokerist Plus
Developer: KamaGames
You don’t have to have a lot of money anymore to play Texas Hold’em. Experienced players can play against card sharks from all over the world to become the poker champion, and newcomers can learn the game with easy-to-follow tutorials.
You’ll soon be able to access these games in Apple Arcade, but there are now plenty of other games you can play through the service for $7 a month or $50 a year. You can also try Apple Arcade for free for one month with your first sign-up, or you can get a three-month free trial when you buy a new Apple device. To open Apple Arcade, open the App Store on your iOS or iPadOS device and tap the joystick in the menu bar.
