- A new rumor suggests that Apple could move the logo on the iPhone 17 Pro
- The logo can go down to make room for the new camera bar and to align with the Magsafe Magnet Ring
- Although a small change, this can give some insight into Apple’s priorities
Apple could make a change in an iconic iPhone design element with the release of rumors iPhone 17 Pro.
According to new rumors of somewhat reliable tip star Majin Bu (Via Gsmarena), Apple could move its logo to a lower position on the rear panel of the iPhone 17 Pro.
The possible change is confirmed in an X (formerly Twitter) message from Apple Tipster Sonny DicksonHe stated that the move could align the logo with the ring of Magsafe Magnets from the phone.
You may think that a logo that moves a few centimeters is not a huge story in itself – and in all honesty you would be right. This alone is not that much.
However, I think that this latest design rumor has the potential to say a lot about where Apple’s priorities are when it comes to the next generation of iPhone.
Aesthetic changes
This tip off of the logo is the newest in a fairly long list of rumors of redesign with regard to the iPhone 17 Line -up, especially the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max.
It even seems to me that the strongest and most repeated rumors around the next pro-level iPhones relate to the design and aesthetics of the so-called upcoming handsets.
As we have reported before, It is said that the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will get a Google Pixel-like camera barA wild departure of the function-guided design philosophy from previous generations. Various individual rumors have given us a look at CAD-MOCK-UPS and Dummy units that seem to confirm the changed design.
Although we have heard of a possible telephoto camera with a higher resolution, as well as murmur of a uniform volume and action button and under-display Face ID, it seems that we can have a lighter year when it comes to new iPhone hardware functions.
Considering change, or cover?
All this brings a new context to the supposed new logo placement – which was previously a fairly harmless design update, starts to look like interference to find something to change.
And although this is all based on rumors at the moment, if Apple launched the iPhone 17 Pro with only iterative or less impactful hardware improvements, these design shakes would look like an attempt to attract attention elsewhere.
It was not so long since Apple received a considerable recoil for launching the iPhone 14 In a very similar condition like the iPhone 13 – Cupertino would be wise to prevent a similar situation this year.
That said, it is also possible that Apple is simply looking for the visual identity of its next generation of handsets to fit iOS 26.
So, although shifting an Apple logo with a few centimeters may not seem like the biggest story, it is worthwhile to keep an eye on these small changes as we get closer to the expected launch date of September of the iPhone 17 series.
