Apple Music Replay 2024 rolls out before Spotify wraps up
Apple Music Replay 2024 rolled out to users on Wednesday, the same day Spotify is expected to release its annual Wrapped experience. In recent years, music streaming services like Apple Music, Spotify and Amazon Music have provided listeners with detailed listening statistics for the past year, and Apple says it will show users even more information about their listening habits this year. This includes top listeners, streaks, monthly repeats, and the date a song, artist, or album was first played.
Apple Music Replay 2024 introduces listening series and repeats per month
This year, Apple Music introduced a new listening insight that allows users to check whether they were in the top 500 or 1,000 listeners of an artist or genre – an expansion of the older top 100 listeners list. Spotify’s Wrapped experience offers a similar feature that shows users a similar metric in percentages.
Users can also access Listening Streaks and Top Artist Streak – the former shows how many consecutive days users have streamed music on the platform, while the latter is shown if a user has the same Top Artist for more than two consecutive months. Apple Music also shows users when they first listened to their top artist, song or album.
Replay details from previous years will also be visible from the microsite, and users can also see a monthly overview of listening statistics over the past year. Apple says Replay 2024 will be updated through the end of the year so users can see stats for December.
Artists can also access Replay in Apple Music for Artists, where they can see how many subscribers have listened to their music, how many minutes of their music have been streamed, the top cities where their listeners live, and which song has been most discovered using Shazam, Apple’s music recognition platform.
Apple Music Replay 2024: How to Access Your Replay
According to the company, the updated Apple Music Replay 2024 has been rolled out to users of the music streaming service. It can be accessed via a special micrositeafter you sign in with your Apple account. Meanwhile, users who have updated to iOS 18.1 can access the Replay 2024 experience via the Home, New, and Search tabs in the app.
