Apple reportedly wants to use the back of the iPhone 16 for the next budget iPhone
The iPhone SE 4 has been in the rumor mill for a while now, with Apple expected to announce the affordable iPhone model in the first quarter of next year with upgrades over the iPhone SE 2022. Previously, it was speculated that the iPhone SE 4 would share the same chassis as the base iPhone 14, but a new rumor out of China contradicts that claim. It suggests that the upcoming iPhone SE version will share some design similarities with the iPhone 16.
Tipster Fixed Focus Digital (translated from Chinese) on Weibo claims The back of the iPhone SE 4 will be exactly the same as that of the upcoming standard iPhone 16. Previous leaks have pointed to an iPhone 14-like design and back for the iPhone SE 4.
If the iPhone SE 4 follows the iPhone 16’s stylings, we can expect the former to sport the vertical dual-lens camera configuration on the rear that has been rumored for the iPhone 16. The iPhone 16 family is expected to be unveiled in September. The next iPhone SE model is expected to launch in March next year.
