Apple Store goes offline for iPhone 16 ‘It’s Glowtime’ event
The wait to see what Apple has in store for its line of iPhone 16 products is almost over. You can tell because the Apple Store has gone dark with a “Be right back” message as the company rolls out updates to its online store.
That’s because today’s “Glowtime” event – which begins streaming at 10 a.m. PT (1 p.m. ET, 6 p.m. BST, 3 a.m. AEST) on Apple’s website, YouTube and the Apple TV app – will introduce the latest versions of the iPhone. The fall event is also expected to introduce new versions of the Apple Watch and Apple’s ubiquitous AirPods.
Viewers are also likely to get more details on Apple Intelligence (the company’s branding for its generative AI offerings) and iOS 18, which we heard extensively about at WWDC. You can follow CNET’s live blog today to stay up to date on all of the announcements as they happen.
The company typically closes its online store ahead of Apple Events and then reopens it with information about new products, some of which will likely be available for pre-order once the store is back online. We don’t yet know if the iPhone 16 will be available for pre-order immediately following Glowtime.
