Apple Watch Series 10 Specifications
According to Apple, the Watch Series 10 features a new wide-angle OLED display and rounded corners, making it easier to type out messages and passcodes. It features the company’s largest display ever on the standard Apple Watch line, which is now reportedly 40 percent brighter than its predecessor.
At 9.7mm, Apple says the Watch Series 10 is also the thinnest Apple Watch ever. It has a polished aluminum frame that’s created using silicon nanoparticles. The company also unveiled a titanium variant of the Apple Watch Series 10 that reportedly weighs less than the stainless steel Apple Watch Series 9.
Under the hood, the Apple Watch Series 10 is powered by a new S10 chipset with a four-core neural engine that is reportedly 30 percent smaller. Users can also now play music and podcasts directly on their smartwatch using its built-in speaker. The smartwatch offers water resistance up to 50 meters. Apple says the Watch Series 10 is its fastest-charging smartwatch yet, with up to 80 percent charge achieved with just 30 minutes of charging.
Another notable upgrade this year is the addition of a sleep apnea detection feature. The Apple Watch Series 10’s accelerometer can measure breathing disorders. In addition, the smartwatch also monitors restfulness during sleep. Using machine learning, Apple analyzes this data every 30 days and displays it to the user, alerting them to irregularities in their sleep cycle. This feature is said to be available in 150 countries.
The Apple Watch Series 10 also includes features that its predecessor offered, such as medication notifications and atrial fibrillation (AFib) alerts.
