‘Arcane’ Season 2 Video Clip Revealed During Netflix Geeked Week

Fans of Netflix’s Emmy Award-winning adult animated series Arcane got a taste of what’s to come Thursday with an announcement at Netflix’s Geeked Week event. A trailer showed off a bloody look at the second and final seasonThe text accompanying the video promises that part 1 of the season will be released on November 9, part 2 on November 16, and part 3 on November 23.

Arcane follows two sisters, Vi and Jinx, who are drawn into the unrest between the utopian city of Piltover and the oppressed district of Zaun. Vi is voiced by Hailee Steinfeld and Powder/Jinx by Ella Purnell.

Steinfeld and Purnell also revealed that there will be a new Arcane aftershow called Afterglow, more details will be announced later.

“Simply put, Arcane is a masterpiece,” wrote CNET reviewer Jennifer Bisset in 2022. “Don’t let it fly under your radar. This Netflix series may be animated — it may be based on a video game — but its characters are more clearly drawn than about 90% of live-action TV.”

In 2022, Arcane won four Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Animated Program, the first streaming series to win that award. It swept the 2022 Annie Awards with wins in nine categories, and won Best Adapted Feature at the 2022 Game Awards. And the Arcane album was nominated for the 2022 Billboard Music Award for Best Soundtrack.

The series is set in the League of Legends universe. The first season of nine episodes was released in November 2021.
