As I get older my eyes get more and more covered, ‘diffuse’ is the key word for makeup
Things are going well for a beauty lover who wasn’t put off by her drooping eyes.
Her dazzling anti-aging look is easier to create than you might think.
Reddit user Night Owl Supreme was ready to show the world her new, big eyes, which she didn’t have to do much for.
“Even though I’m only 30, my eyelids are getting softer and my eyes [are] more and more hooded. I find the simpler the eye looks the better,” she said.
She was about to reveal her beauty trick.
“Satin finishes are incredibly flattering and one-shadow looks are great. A less structured, casual and possibly messy eye look works best,” she said.
For younger-looking eyes, she was also a fan of eye shadow and eyeliner, as well as smokey-out or blurry pencils and gels.
“Tightlining is a great option to add definition if your eyelid becomes too soft and lines and creases develop,” she says.
For the most striking looks she had only one thing to say.
“In general, diffuse is the key word for anything that has to do with the look of the eyes,” she said.

If you want to take your eye makeup to the next level, Sephora sells Hourglass Curator Eyeshadow Singles in a satin finish for $29.
“I think mature skin benefits from many of the same guidelines as dry skin,” she said.
“WATER IN THE DESERT”
Her other tips were to keep base layers to a minimum and focus on hydration.
She advised buying a high-quality powder and using it only when needed.
There are other things that can make a big difference.
“Hydrating setting sprays that melt everything away are great. Cream products are water in the desert,” she said.
When it comes to concealers, she believes the thinner the better.

“You may find light-reflecting pens very flattering. But as your skin gets thinner, the coverage may not be enough. That means it’s a good idea to use a thin color corrector,” she said.
“It’s less ‘cakey’ when you combine these two products than if you use a thicker, higher coverage concealer,” she continues.
A LITTLE LIPPIE
She also gave tips on how to get a perfect pout.
“Lip stains and lightly applying matte cream lipstick with a fingertip for a stained effect are incredibly flattering,” she said.
“Because your lips lose pigment, sheer reddish and berry shades are a great way to bring color and life back to your lips if you want a simple, everyday look,” she continues.
“It’s incredibly natural and looks alive.”
Her biggest tip? Wear makeup that makes you happy, no matter your age.
Just be careful not to use too much product on areas where wrinkles, such as laugh lines, are more likely to occur.
“It might be more flattering than if it creases, if you don’t have to cover it up,” she said.
“You also may not need concealer all the way up to your lash line if you’re already covering the area with eye shadow. There’s no point in adding product to those lines and creases if you’re covering them up with eye shadow.”
